Engineering Manager – Transportation Infrastructure – BRT Stations
Opportunity :
Parsons has an exciting new role open for an experience Engineering Manager to oversee engineering and design of BRT ( Bus Rapid Transit) station projects in Texas, and with other US regions as well. This role is preferably based in the Dallas, Texas area, but can be remotely based in any major US city for the individual with the required relevant experience.
These projects are an essential part of addressing the transportation and mobility needs of and urban community, increasing access to entertainment, jobs, and services in a reliable, safe, and convenient manner. These stations are anticipated to provide access from other transportation modes, such as foot, bicycle, active transit, other public transit, or car
Responsibilities :
Design elements include communications (fiber-optic backbone and local copper), variable message signs, closed-circuit television systems, and ticket vending machines.

Design of the following Systems:
Network Communications
Supervisory and Access Control Systems
CCTV Systems
Access Control
Radio Networks
Transit Passenger Information Systems
Network Management
Design of various fiber-optic, copper, spread-spectrum, and microwave communications systems to transport data, voice, and video. In addition, and design various closed-circuit television systems, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, and video vehicle detection systems.
Requirements :
Prior experience with BRT projects is essential for this role.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 20 years or more of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel.
Professional Engineer ( PE) registration with active membership in a professional engineering society from any US State is required, and ability to obtain an active PE for Texas within 6 months of hireSKILLS/COMPETENCIES:Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering/technical personnel and directing work involving complex technical situations, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required. Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific engineering software for use in completing engineering assignments.

Salary Range:
$121,900.00 - $245,200.00
