POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineering Manager is a critical member of the IT leadership team. This role leads the design, implementation, and support of their technical domain to match the IT organization's strategy and roadmap. The manager is responsible for managing a diverse team of highly technical engineers as they work to accomplish organizational goals. Subsequently, must have proven experience working in a complex and highly matrixed organization. This leadership role requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with the IT, clinical, and corporate leadership to align priorities to key business objectives. The incumbent will work closely with business and IT teams to proactively support the needs of the IDN. Expertise in leading project teams and developing and managing projects is essential for success in this role. In addition to supporting Health Firsts’ policies and strategies, the Manager must be able to prioritize work efforts, balancing operational tasks with longer-term strategic efforts.
End User Experience is responsible for the delivery of our end user device (Windows workstations, mobile devices, Desktop as a service) and Microsoft 365 Technology.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Recommend and coordinate the implementation and operation of technical controls to support secure and mature engineering processes.
In partnership with Senior IT Leadership, establish annual and long-range technical domain goals, define strategies and roadmaps, metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services; and create maturity models and a roadmap for continual program improvements.
Evaluate, procure, and integrate new solutions into the overall environment, as determined by business, regulatory and market demands and will ensure these technologies and services align with Health First strategic principles and policy guidelines.
Analyzes and provide recommendations on technological solutions based upon organizational needs and objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Licensure: None required
• Certification: Advanced certification required (technical, lean, project management/agile, etc.) within one year of hire.
• Work Experience:
If Bachelor’s degree, three years of IT experience with at least one of progressively responsible formal leadership experience (e.g., supervisor, manager, projectmanager, architect).If Master’s degree, two years of IT experience with at least one of progressively responsible formal leadership experience (e.g., supervisor, manager, projectmanager, architect).• Work Experience in lieu of Education: N/A
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to perform systemic, thorough problem solving and initiate problem resolution.Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with operational leaders, IT engineering managers, application directors and IT engineering staff.Able to lead and manage with data.
