Description
Nissha Medical Technologies is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Colorado Springs Team!
This position will directs the design and development engineering and tooling activities of the organization. The ideal candidate will develop and conduct work programs in accordance with NMT's policies, priorities and budget constraints. The Engineering Manager will direct and develop staff to meet objectives, develop and manage budgets and metrics for the Engineering Department, provide technical oversight and assistance to other departments as requires, and may lead key engineering projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES (other duties as assigned):
Follow Employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations as defined by Nissha Medical Technologies practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that customer requirements and industry standards and or regulations are met.
Demonstrates knowledge and acts in accordance of NMT’s Employee Guidelines and applicable quality standards as outlined in NMT’s Quality Manual.
Abides by all safety and security rules set forth by the company and regulatory agencies
Manage day to day activities of the Engineering Team.
Monitor team productivity to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Provide guidance, training, mentoring and coaching to team.
Set goals for group and individual performance to align with company plan and vision.
Monitor team member performance on assigned projects.
Address escalation of issues from the project teams.
Assign, allocate, and prioritize resources to support engineering projects.
Manage the Performance Appraisal process.
Monitor and report on department metrics and expenses.
Serves as lead engineer on engineering projects with responsibility for all technical activity on customer and intra-company projects.
Participates/leads various project teams and conference calls while representing NMT to the customer.
Designs products or systems such as surgical devices, cables, mechanisms, fixtures, and injection molded components.
Plans and directs personnel in fabrication of prototypes, first articles, test equipment, and development of methods and procedures for manufacturing and testing products or systems.
Generates protocols, reports, drawings, procedures, routers, specifications, ECO's, and other technical documents.
Regular attendance is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 8 years on engineering experience in a product development or manufacturing environment.
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
Medical Device industry experience preferred.
Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Strong problem solving skills and efficient management of time and resources.
Training and development of employees.
Tracking performance metrics.
Product design and development.
Equipment, process, and test method qualifications and validations.
Technical writing.
CAD (SolidWorks)
Creating requirements, specifications, and drawings.
The established Compensation for this position will be $100,000 to $120,000 per year (paid on a bi-weekly basis) depending on qualifications and experience.
