Fluidra is seeking a Engineering Lab Technician to join our Value Improvement Design to Value team at Lab in Atlanta, GA.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
The role of the Value Improvement Lab Technician will be to contribute to optimize our products, to make them more efficient and to better use the natural resources. Primary responsibility will be to help disassemble all products at an individual component level and to identify value improvement opportunities that in turn, can become projects related to any of our products , globally .
In this role, you will be joining an international company as a member of the Global VI DtV team. You will work side-by-side with engineers, sourcing specialists , purchasing people and manufacturing sites to identify Value Improvement opportunities. You will be able to learn from our product specialists and apply your knowledge and experience to make a difference. A ddit ionally, you will:
Work with VI DtV Team to provide support to tear down our products and to document all components to help analyze their value.
Work with VI Team to perform purposeful product teardowns, to identify every single component and to determine its cost.
Become the key member of the VI DtV Engineering team for all components.
Provide support to define and document all components estimated cost.
Analyze Fluidra products to understand how they work and how the different functions can be done in a simpler and more cost-effective way .
WHAT WE SEEK
3 or more years of mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering lab technician experience or entry level engineer.
A team player with good interpersonal skills, who is self-motivated
Extensive knowledge of various types of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and their use in product designs.
Knowledge of plastics and metals manufacturing processes and electro-mechanical assemblies preferred.
Exceptional root cause analysis and problem - so lving skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to clearly communicate and to present with impact and clarity.
A background in pool products is a plus.
MS Office Suite experience.
Design experience focusing on Value Analysis / Value Improvement of consumer products is also desirable.
Analytical, flexible, and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
EDUCATION
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
