Engineering Financial Analyst
Description
At our Oevel site in Belgium, Cummins is developing innovative Electrolyzer technologies that can generate hydrogen for various applications with zero emissions - contributing to a safe and healthy environment for future generations.
We are currently looking for an Engineering Financial Analyst to join the team. The role will report to the Financial Analysis Manager.
Your tasks:
Business partner to Engineering and New Product Development functions
Prepares and maintains detailed business cases and financial analysis for New Product Development programs
New Product Development Core Team Member for Electrolyzer projects
Engineering Reporting/Actuals Analysis/Trends, etc.
Holds regular budget reviews with Program leaders to ensure forecast is accurately reflected.
Month-end budget analysis and work with accounting on proper accruals (Open PO’s, invoices, etc.)
Manage costs and accruals of subcontracting staff.
Maintains a risk and opportunity schedule and communicates to cross-functional team to address.
Maintains time registration tracker and communicates weekly to engineering functions to ensure accurate time management and costing. This includes regular communication of Project numbers to teams.
Work with Finance and Engineering stakeholders to create a robust process and department structure to improve budgeting and ownership.
Your profile:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
Intermediate level of relevant professional work experience in the field of study required.
Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must, knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
Team work and good networking skills.
You have a problem-solving mentality, and you are not afraid of challenges.
Strong analytical skills.
Great Communication Skills: developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Self- Motivated. Take Ownership. Able to start new processes from scratch.
Experience in working with continuous process improvement.
Fluent in English both written and verbal.
