Job Title: Project Manager: Engineering and Construction
Location: Vernon, Texas
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: 50% onsite and 50% coordinated hybrid/remote work, project permitting.
Contract/Permanent: Contract
Contract Duration: 12 months, high potential to extend.

Hourly Wage: TBD, flexible based on market demand
Per Diem: $175/day
Our client is a Belgian multinational chemical company with a focus on advanced materials and specialty chemicals. Our client’s main business sectors are:
Advanced Materials: Producing high-performance materials for various industries, such as aerospace, automotive, healthcare, and electronics.
Agro: Offering solutions for agriculture, including products for crop protection and plant nutrition.
Chemicals: Manufacturing a wide range of chemicals used in various applications, from industrial processes to consumer goods.
Performance Chemicals: Providing specialty chemicals for diverse industries, including mining, oil and gas, and consumer goods.
Functional Polymers: Developing polymer materials with specific functionalities for applications in sectors like energy, automotive, and construction.
Our client is looking for a dedicated project manager with some level of construction and engineering experience to drive multiple projects from initiation to close. They are not looking for a field construction manager, or a subject matter expert at one piece of the project - but someone that can handle a few large scale projects simultaneously that is focused on;
Roof replacement for a manufacturing facility and warehouses
Reactor replacement and repiping with some electrical control work
Some small civil work that handles concrete
Scheduling and coordinating between sites and crews
Highly organized and proficient with high attention to detail while scoping projects, timelines, deliverables, and budgets
Incredibly fluid when talking to a number of stakeholders, regardless of role in the company, and be able to present information in the most effective way to gain perspective, collaboration, and buy-in
Someone already proficient working with SAP, MS Excel and pivot tables, as well as reviewing contracts
This candidate does NOT need to have a PE license or a degreed engineer. They have technical experts on staff, but need the right fit with the right expertise to join the team.
Experience and Education:
5 years of industrial experience, preferably at chemical plants
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar is preferred, but not a requirement if background is strong
PE or EIT is a nice-to-have, but not required
PMP is a nice-to-have, but not required
