We are seeking an experienced Engineer Logistics to join our team at HII. The Engineer Logistics will be responsible for managing the logistics of engineering projects, ensuring that materials and equipment are delivered on time, and coordinating with project managers to ensure that projects are completed on schedule.

What You Will Do
Act as Engineering Logistics 2 Analysis for the RCOH and New Construction production teams.
Review completed Electronic Inspection Reports (EIRs) using the Work Package/Inspection Report (WPIR) Tracker database. Determine whether IR will or will not affect the technical manual development and report positive IRs to the Technical Manual Group. Monitor workflow using the WPIR Tracking tool.
Process Vendor submitted Purchase Order software Coded Notes requirements through Provisioning and Technical Manual groups for their review and approval. Close out the review process using the SAP Workflow tools.
Monitor workflow using the IR Tracking tool.
General knowledge of Provisioning Technical Data (PTD) provisioning packages applicable to each hull.
Conduct daily phone conversations and emails with internal/external customers to ensure all issues of concern are resolved.
Submit Production Review reports to management.
Sit in on key meetings in the absence of Project Manager.
Monitor the progress of new hires and ensure they have all the tools and training aids required to complete training.
What You Must Have
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
Candidate must have knowledge of Provisioning and Technical Documentation (PTD) products.
Candidate must have experience in developing and Technical Manual Documentation products i.e. Commercial Off-The-Shelf Technical Manuals (COTS), Vendor Technical Manuals and System Manuals.
Candidate must have knowledge of the requisite tools to assist in provisioning such as DAS Jump Site which includes: WPIR Tracker, MSD, i2, Data Explore. Cognos Live, NNPN to Software Status, ILS Reports, SAP which includes QM02, ZQMDRPT access and Inspection Report (IR) Tracking tool.
Candidate must possess general knowledge related to the review, research, and development of Provisioning Parts Lists (PPL), Allowance Parts Lists (APL), and Allowance Equipage Lists (AEL).
Candidate must have the ability to communicate professionally with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for Provisioning and Technical Documentation.
Candidate must possess a general understanding of provisioning, supply support and Technical Documentation.
Candidate must have high proficiency in the use of PCs and word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs.
Candidate must have experience with leading teams/projects with successful performance to meet schedules and customer requirements.
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Familiarity working with NNS (Newport News Shipbuilding), NSWC (Naval Surface Warfare Center) Philadelphia, PEO (Program Executive Office) Carriers, NAVSUP-WSS (Naval Supply System Command- Weapons System Support), ISEA’S (In Service Engineering Agent), and SPAWAR (Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command).
