Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering/Assistant Director of Engineering, the main responsibility of the Engineer III is the maintenance of mechanical systems in the hotel plant including air handlers, all associated piping, ducts, pumps, stem traps, valves, dampers and controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check daily all plant equipment; maintaining up-to-date records on all equipment checked, its condition and repairs necessary or completed reporting any malfunctions to the Assistant Director of Engineering.
Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment as scheduled.
Read meters and record accurate information on a daily basis.
Supervise and maintain the filter change program to ensure proper frequency; responsible for maintenance of all required documentation; order parts and supplies maintaining an adequate stock.
Respond within 15 minutes to all called-in requests from other departments or hotel guests including maintenance repairs for the Engineering department and hotel quality standards.
Ensure proper storage, ordering and handling of all chemicals and chemical systems.
Ensure the proper care and use of all Engineering equipment including all safety related procedures used when operating this equipment. This includes MSDS and loc-out/tag-out procedures.
Ensure proper training of fire alarm system emergency shut-off valves in Hotel.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of trade school or formal apprenticeship in Engineering.
Minimum of 2-5 years experience working with mechanical equipment such as that found in commercial buildings.
Must be familiar with all safety practices related to all Engineering equipment and its use.
Must be able to work with minimum supervision on assigned tasks.
Must be able to operate all standard refrigeration and engineering equipment
