Controller Opportunity with a well-established and rapidly growing real estate company specializing in land development projects in The Woodlands area. We are currently seeking an experienced Controller with a background in land development to join our dedicated team.
Controller Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage financial operations for land development projects.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to real estate development.
Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets and financial performance.
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, including detailed project financials.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for land development activities.
Stay informed about industry trends and regulations affecting real estate development.
Requirements
Controller Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA strongly preferred
Proven experience as a Controller in the real estate industry, with a focus on land development.
In-depth knowledge of real estate accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with project accounting, cost control and property tax reporting in land development.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software and ERP systems.
