  Engineer - Gas Code Compliance

  We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Engineer for our Gas Code Compliance department in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.

  This is a job family (Associate Engineer/Engineer/Senior Engineer) posting where the experience of the selected candidate will determine the level offered.

  Job Summary

  This Engineer supports the gas regulated survey and inspection program at We Energies which includes scheduling, distribution, and monitoring of compliance activities. In addition, this role will evaluate survey best practices, determine cost-effective methods to meet inspection requirements, administer labor contracts, and help manage the overall program budget.

  Job Responsibilities

  Develop work plans and budgets for inspection and maintenance programs.

  Initiate and distribute gas surveys and inspections to field operations and contractors.

  Provide training and technical support to company and contractor staff.

  Perform project oversight monitoring within compliance and asset management systems.

  Support survey and maintenance contracts and interface with Supply Chain personnel to establish contract agreements.

  Participate in state regulatory agency audits and develop corrective action plans.

  Contribute to corporate gas standardization projects and initiatives.

  Minimum Qualifications

  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Preferred Qualifications

  Knowledge of gas regulatory codes, standards, and materials.

  Knowledge of natural gas construction and field operation practices.

  Strong communication and organizational skills to present information to a broad audience.

  Demonstrated experience in project management, planning, and technical writing.
