The Challenge

We are hiring 4 entry-level engineers to join our award-winning Division 7 team to serve as Assistant District or Assistant Resident Engineers in Alamance, Rockingham, and Guilford counties.

In this role, you will:

Learn highway maintenance methods, techniques, construction standards and specifications.Learn and apply skills in the operations of field and office engineering instruments.Lead teams and coordinate reviews of technical plans and drawings.Safely operate a State vehicle.What You Bring

Computer/iPad skills.Basic knowledge and understanding of concepts, practices, and theories used in engineeringDemonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and organized documents and reports addressing basic engineering concepts and facts.Safety toe shoes.Education and Experience

Bachelors degree in Engineering; orAn equivalent combination of training and experience.Note

You may be required to work nights and weekends, as needed, for emergency and planned operations in all types of weather conditions and on uneven surfaces and slopes.We may require registration as a professional engineer with the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.Position Locations:
