TITLE:Engineer
EMPLOYER: Airbus Americas, Inc.
DUTIES: Facilitate and contribute to fast reaction root cause analysis investigations into all reported quality problems from both the business and airline customers to ensure the appropriate containment, corrective, and preventative actions are identified and implemented by the relevant Multifunctional Teams (MFTs). Engineer high quality presentations to communicate the results of these investigations to both customers and management and provide feedback and coaching to the MFTs on root cause investigation conclusions, human factors/workmanship quality, communication campaigns, and the quality engineering toolbox methods and processes used at Airbus. Provide engineering support and expertise where required on quality engineering process improvement and inspection optimization activities. Eradicate manufacturing and/or technical engineering non-conformances and customer snags, which will have a direct and tangible impact on reducing the Cost of Non-Quality while increasing both internal and external airline customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field +1 year in any job title involving experience in manufacturing, quality, lean management, and quality inspection with an aviation company in the aircraft manufacturing industry. Prior experience must also include: Working with the production process and build cycle; implementing rules for aircraft design and manufacturing; working with aircraft mechanical and electrical installation; performing root cause analysis; working with subcontractors to implement clear, detailed, and achievable improvement plans; and developing, communicating, and recommending change to processes and procedures. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
