Responsible for calculating and documenting the development of mechanical drawings and concepts for mechanical modules oriented to E-Mobility products; understand customer design criteria and work with internal development teams to implement customer requirements; document mechanical development concept modules for the automotive industry, considering functionality, quality and cost; provide support for all mechanical engineering activities from design/construction in the concept phase, through to the development phase and until successful launch of projects for E-Mobility products; verify engineering changes and problem solving during the development phase in close coordination with corporate locations and customers; demonstrate solid experience with mechanical designs involving BMS, OBC, and DC-DC Converters for E-Mobility automotive systems; perform reviews and clarifications of all technical specifications internally and with customer; utilize and apply knowledge of NX, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Team Center, PDM, FTI, Enovia, DFMEA, PFMEA, BOM tools, 3DExperience, Smarteam, and AutoCAD to perform duties; document technical requirements with internal/customer mechanical design teams to ensure all requirements are clear and covered by the design, including any functional safety requirements applicable; perform detailed mechanical part and integration of assembly design concept for high power electronics and PCBA; discuss mechanical drawings with customers on a mechanical engineering base; calculate and simulate worst-case-tolerance analysis; participate in test phases and steps of the FMEA; support Manufacturing Suppliers activities concerning design changes (CAD, BOM, and Documentation); provide support for corporate and customer assembly plants for mechanical design related issues; perform root cause analysis of failure using various quality tools including 5WHY, 8D, CMMI, ISO and fish bone diagram; generate BOMs for all mechanical parts as per requirement of the E-mobility project; and support new business quotations and analysis as required.
