　　Job Summary:

　　Caterpillar is seeking a Embedded Product Analytics Engineering Specialist in Mossville, IL. In this role, you will report to the Manager Engineering and will be primarily responsible for turning product data into insights to support new product development, continuous product improvement, productivity enhancements, and condition monitoring. As a member of the Engineering Data Acquisition & Analytics team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. 　　What you will do:

　　Gathering and analyzing client/project requirements to understand needs

　　Finding/collecting product and supporting data required for client requests/projects

　　Analysis of data or development of algorithms using different tools/methods available to provide insights to client or objective of project

　　Presentation/Communication/Visualization of results and collaborate with client/project lead to ensure requirements have been met

　　What skills you will have:

　　Technical Analysis : Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies, and activities in technical analysis; ability to forecast the direction of technical landscape using technical indicators and take collective actions.

　　Level Working Knowledge:

　　• Reviews the technical criteria for different organizational functions and departments.

　　• Utilizes specific organizational methods, tools, and techniques for technical analysis.

　　• Assesses actual technical aspects and reports on analysis results to senior management.

　　• Follows policies, practices, and standards while determining functional and technical requirements.

　　• Documents deliverables associated with technical analysis.

　　Effective Communications : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

　　Level Working Knowledge:

　　• Delivers helpful feedback that focuses on behaviors without offending the recipient.

　　• Listens to feedback without defensiveness and uses it for own communication effectiveness.

　　• Makes oral presentations and writes reports needed for own work.

　　• Avoids technical jargon when inappropriate.

　　• Looks for and considers non-verbal cues from individuals and groups.

　　Software Development : Knowledge of software development tools and activities; ability to produce software products or systems in line with product requirements.

　　Level Extensive Experience:

　　• Conducts walkthroughs and monitors effectiveness and quality of the development activities.

　　• Elaborates on multiple-development toolkits for traditional and web-based software.

　　• Has participated in development of multiple or large software products.

　　• Contrasts advantages and drawbacks of different development languages and tools.

　　• Estimates and monitors development costs based on functional and technical requirements.

　　• Provides consulting on both selection and utilization of developers' workbench tools.

　　Education and Experience requirement:

　　Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum

　　7+ years experience in the Product Development space

　　Expert experience working with Python

　　Additional Information:

　　The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL

　　Domestic relocation assistance is not available

　　This position may require 5% travel
