　　Counseling Center

　　The University of Illinois Counseling Center is hiring multiple embeddedcounselors. These positions will be embedded in academic and studentaffairs units such as the College of Law, Liberal Arts and Sciences,College of Media, and University Housing. Successful candidates willhave solid experience and expertise in serving college studentpopulations. There are openings for embedded counselors who aregeneralists with a strong demonstrated interest and experience in one ormore of the following desired clinical and outreach areas: Black,Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), triage/crisis intervention, orgender non-conforming/non-binary student groups. 　　The Center is an accredited training site through the AmericanPsychological Association with over 50 full-time staff, which includesclinicians, doctoral interns, social work interns, academic professionalstaff, and administrative staff. 　　Job Summary

　　The primary function of the embedded counselor position is to serve as ageneralist for clinical service provision. The primary functions of theembedded counselors are to serve as a generalist and establish andmaintain a presence of Counseling Center services within theacademic/student affairs unit. The embedded counselor will provideclinical services to students as well as provide outreach, preventionand consultation services within the unit. Additionally, the successfulcandidate for any position will be a well-rounded professional, whoworks comfortably both individually and as a team member in providingeffective outreach and prevention programs. Our Center\'s mission placesa high value on serving a diverse population of students in a culturallycompetent manner as we provide a variety of services to assist studentswith psychological, educational, social, and developmental concerns.

　　Duties & Responsibilities

　　Provide time-limited counseling services for students enrolled inthe college.Providing outreach, prevention, and consultation services for thecollege community.Network and liaise with administration, faculty and staff within thecollege and advocate f r students and their needs as appropriate.Create and implement targeted prevention programming for students.Providing group counseling services through a general therapy groupor a group that addresses a specific clinical issue or the needs ofa particular population of students.Manage clinical crises for students enrolled in the college.Participating in psychological emergency and trauma response.Participating in various Student Affairs activities and committees.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

　　Education

　　For clinicians having a terminal master\'s level degree the following isrequired: master\'s degree in social work, counseling or psychology.

　　For clinicians having a terminal doctoral degree the following isrequired: doctorate in clinical psychology, clinical/communitypsychology, counseling psychology, or related field.

　　Degree completed by start date is required.

　　Licensure

　　Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and FamilyTherapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) inIllinois or license state-transfer eligible background is required formaster\'s degree.

　　Licensed in Illinois or license state-transfer as psychologist requiredfor candidates with doc
