　　Alaska's 2nd largest school district is looking to hire several School Counselors for the upcoming school year! We are located 45 minutes outside of Anchorage, AK. We have 19,000+ students across 48schools.Our communities include: Glacier View, Sutton, Palmer, Wasilla, Butte, Knik-Fairview, Meadow Lakes, Big Lake, Houston, Willow, Talkeetna and Trapper Creek.

　　Position Description:To help students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and responsible men and women.Knowledge:Alaska Certificate Type C, endorsement in Counseling, ability to schedule courses for students, ability to use a computer, counseling experience preferred.

　　Salary:$62,014- $86,064Depending on verification of service and education. MSBSD has a competitive Salary Schedule with an accelerated step advancement. Applicants can bring a maximum of 5years experience. We pay an additional $3,000 bonus PER YEAR for National Certification.

　　Leave:Each Certified Teacher receives 4 paid personal leave days at the beginning of the year and accrues 1.33 sick leave days each month of employment.

　　Retirement:MSBSD is a member of the State of Alaska Teachers Retirement System.
