  Electronics Technician

  Intertek is searching for an Electronics Technician to join our Transportation Technology team in our San Antonio, Texas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Analytical Testing!

  What you’ll do:

  Applies knowledge of A.C. and D.C. circuits (analog and digital) in the fabrication, modification and repair of electronic/electro-mechanical equipment.

  Troubleshoots and repairs PID control systems to subassembly level.

  Performs preventive maintenance and calibrations and completes appropriate documents.

  Maintains calibration certificates for all calibration standards. Keeps an updated chart of all calibration standards showing calibration date, calibration due date, etc.

  Sends calibration standards to standards laboratory for periodic re-certification.

  Effectively works within the confines of the documentation system of being especially aware of priority, verbal and written instructions, completion date, overtime authorization and safety requirements.

  Provides sufficient information, relative to work performed, to ensure that documentation is current.

  Responsible for complying with departmental ISO procedures.

  Performs other assigned tasks as needed.

  What it takes to be successful in this role:

  High school diploma or equivalent education.

  Completion of electronics or related field technical training Or 2 years of technical school courses in electronics or related field.

  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  Periodic exposure to heat and fumes. Occasionally will work in limited crawl space or close quarters. Requires use of ear plugs, safety shoes and glasses.
