Ziegler CAT has an entry-level opening for a Electronics Technician. This full-time position will focus primarily on the fabrication of the many custom cables and machine harnesses that Ziegler offers to its Technology and Grade Control customers. This position works from our Bloomington, MN based Ziegler Rebuild Center (ZRC) and works closely with our Electronics Repair Technicians. Responsibilities: Fabrication and repair of custom cables and machine wire harness assemblies from our Bloomington, MN based ZRC facility Oversee inventory levels to ensure all needed components are on-hand for meeting cable order deadlines Desire and ability to learn electronics repair as it pertains to Construction Technology equipment (Trimble and CAT Grade primarily) Perform basic maintenance on customer electronic survey equipment as part of our seasonal support offerings or as requested by customer Document relevant workflow processes with Service Coordinator Assist Electronics Repair Technician as-needed with daily workflow and repairs Communicate with Ziegler's customers on both a phone and walk-in basis Qualifications: Associate's Degree required with preference in electronics related field Excellent customer service and communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to read technical documents (schematics, etc.) preferred Electronics repair or cable building experience preferred Ability to work independently to achieve a goal On-the-job training provided Ability to learn proper technique for cable building process including measuring, cutting, and soldering Detail oriented Driven to succeed *IndO Minimum Physical Requirements: Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing Working Conditions are indoor and quiet This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed; it is not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required for the position.
