This company is looking for a Electronic Technician at the largest testing companies in the world for the automotive industry. The following responsibilities are listed below:
Description:
1st & 2nd shift. 1st shift 6am to 2pm & 2nd shift: 2pm to 10pm Monday - Friday.
Brand new building and test equipment on the floor.
Candidates will set up testing requirements per customer order, record data and troubleshoot issues along the way.
Technicians will be testing RF emissions from power sources:
-ESD test station
-Automotive Pulse (example car running and battery cable becomes disconnected, the energy from alternator needs to go somewhere and how much charge will need to be handled)
-Wireless bluetooth and wifi
-GPS and communications
-Reverbiation
-Radiated immunity(rf injected, 200v per meter up to 600v)
-Mobile phone immunity
They have a 3 meter chamber that is performing tests for passengers in cars to have a screen on their side in front of them. How much input until it defects, how much input will create how much out put, these tests run anywhere from 40 hertz to 80 mega hertz. Most common testing.
Their 1 meter chamber is set up with wires and routers, this set up stays the same, ethernet cables and boxes. This testing takes about 8 hours.
Their metal chamber is for environmental element testing. There are 2 antennas and a large metal beam that spins around, 1 input and results in 2 outputs, testing for how many times 1 input will multiple and how many outputs will be the results. How many times will energy be duplicated – did any inputs of energy change? Is energy being bounced off and spilt? Did anything move? In this chamber no energy is absorbed, all energy and inputs will not be absorbed. These tests are less common, more complex, and take about 2/3 days.
