Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Health Informatics Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clinical Support Specialist! This position will provide first level clinical support to all EHR users, including assistance with standard configuration, functionality troubleshooting, training, and workflow analysis. The EHR Clinical Support Specialist has strong knowledge of healthcare and clinical applications to administer, demonstrate, implement, train, and support various critical clinical applications supported by the Health Informatics Team.

Primary responsibilities:

Provide real-time support by responding to end users’ calls and queries.

Identify and recommend improvements for clinical applications and workflow.

Manage end user support, testing, documentation, and general management of the clinical applications.

Work with project teams in operational and organizational analysis to identify areas of needed improvement.

Assist with design and development of workflows, data flows, and other solutions with user operational practices.

Assist in developing training plans, conduct training sessions, and provide go-live support for users on various EHR applications.

Work as an active member of the clinical project team and adhere to project plan communication and coordination of essential user support across DCT divisions.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years’ experience in Electronic Health Record applications including:

Experience using Electronic Health Record applications and general needs of Electronic Health Records across multiple disciplines

Supporting and/or training medical, professional, and technical staff

Interpreting detailed technical information and data

Analyzing Electronic Health Record user needs, designing, and developing effective solutions

Communicating complex technical topics

Note: A bachelor's degree in nursing, medical laboratory technology, computer science, or related clinical/technical field may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with developing, testing, or using Netsmart applications such as MyAvatar

Knowledge of a hospital or care delivery systems sufficient to demonstrate and incorporate experience in a highly complex medical setting

Clinical background (Nurse, Pharmacist, etc.) and in-depth knowledge of medical record systems
