This position offers floor support to the Manufacturing Team. This is a position that requires the individual to demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude and to be able to quickly master various workstations and assembly techniques. A qualified candidate should have extensive prior experience in the medical device industry (or similar) and be able to perform all tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
*This 1st shift position is Monday-Friday, generally 6:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
Provide resources to assemble, test, and packaging support for various Medical Device Manufacturing Production LinesTake a leading role in ensuring product quality in the manufacturing process.Perform advanced electro-mechanical assembly and quality control inspections. These functions are to be performed in a timely manner to meet quality and productivity goals of the department.Utilize advanced manufacturing equipment and techniques when necessaryWork closely with engineering to improve documentation and process flowsPerform all work in accordance with quality standards and established proceduresIdentify product defects and effectively document the defect when identifiedTake a leading role in training and teaching new operatorsWork closely with manufacturing technicians to identify and correct manufacturing defects and error codesClearly and concisely completes quality documentation as requiredJob Requirements:High School Diploma/GED.3+ years minimum of electro-mechanical assembly experience in Medical Device or closely related fieldAdvanced reading, writing, and communication skillsAdvanced computer navigation skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately and thoroughlyAbility to read drawings and schematics as necessaryProven sound judgment, values driven, continuous innovation and improvement and adaptability skills.Demonstrated high performance orientation and detail orientation.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Good organization and teamwork skills, including strong customer focus.Physical requirements:Regularly lift parts and components up to 30 pounds.Regularly perform repetitive tasks.Possess the manual dexterity necessary to put parts or assemblies together efficiently.
