Ameresco's Operations & Maintenance Group has new opportunities forElectricians experienced in inspecting, troubleshooting and maintainingcommercial solar facilities and battery storage facilities. We are looking forqualified candidates that reside in the Denver, CO area.The employee will beprovided a company truck and would be dispatched from their home to varioussites in their region.This position will help provide service and maintenanceon 12 MW of Ameresco owned batteries, in addition to commercial solarprojects.
Responsibilities
Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personalprotection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
Reads and interprets instruction manuals, blueprints and control systemdrawings; applies knowledge to daily tasks under the supervision of thefield supervisors and operations manager.
Completes written and electronic records (i.e. work orders, calibrationsheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work inprogress and as it is completed.
Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect; and install, remove andmaintain solar site equipment such as solar panels, inverters,transformers, breakers, switchgear, and SCADA equipment under thesupervision of the field supervisors and operations manager.
Supervise and train apprentice electricians/coworkers to teach proper andsafe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
Perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of industrial electric/electronic maintenance experiencein the repair, inspection, testing, installation and/or maintenance ofrelated electrical/electronic equipment.
Valid Drivers' License in good standing, issued by state of residence.
Current Journeyman Electrician License.
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of Solar PV
Knowledge of Battery Storage
Knowledge of electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC andDC circuits.
Ability to successfully complete position training and testing requirements.
Ability to push, pull, bend, stand, stoop, lift, carry, reach,climb, hear, see, and work on ladders for extended periods of time withhands and arms at heights to install and troubleshoot equipment.
OSHA training and certification preferred.
Travel and flexibility for 'on call' support or varied schedule needs.
