Work as part of a team that supports all of our plants. Primarily work independently at the direction of the company's Electrical Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the safe installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of:3 phase motor controlElectromechanical starters, solid state, VFDsPower distribution, 35KV and below, 3 phase transformersGeneral building maintenance and repairs, lighting, etc.PLC based control systemsPLC programming, troubleshootingHMI programmingIndustrial networking, wired and wirelessInstrumentation and sensorsVideo systemsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma required.Associates degree or additional education, preferred.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of electrical safety proceduresKnowledge of NEC electrical construction, particularly motor circuits and groundingAbility to use an electrical multimeter to read voltage, current, resistance; both AC & DCUnderstanding of 3 phase electrical systemsProficient with computers, Windows environment, MS Office suiteProficient written and oral communication skillsAbility to work at elevated heightsElectrical construction skills; conduit bending, wire sizing, setting up wire pulls, preferredKnowledge of Rockwell Software Logix5000, 500, Connected Components and Device Net software, preferred.Ability to write original PLC program based on requirements, preferredExperience in set up and startup of parameter-based Drives and Soft starters, preferredIndustrial networking skills and experience, preferredHigh voltage termination experience, preferredWork Environment:Work primarily outdoors year-round in an industrial environment and averages 50 hours per week (longer days, nights and weekends will occasionally be required). May be assigned to jobs that would require overnight stays for several consecutive days.Travel between plants will be required; may not be assigned to the same facility day to day, and it may change within the day when necessary to respond to a problem at another facility.
