  The Electrical Project Engineer is an integral part of a team of professionals who works together with an integrated team that are committed to growing and working together in this fast-moving company. The Electrical Project Engineer establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. The Project Engineer collaborates across functions including project management and planning, project teams and line management. The Project Engineer coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contracts. This position works with Electronic Engine Controllers (EECs) and Prognostic Health Monitoring Units (PHMUs) through their product lifecycle and investigations.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  · Prepares and maintains project plans, budgets, and staffing requirements to ensure that all action item lists are completed, and project quality expectations are met.

  · Estimates costs, resources, and time required to complete projects to ensure business targets are met.

  · Gathers and analyzes data to monitor projects' progress in terms of cost, schedule and technical specifications to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.

  · Prepares and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to ensure that established targets are met.

  · Identifies and escalates project problems and supports resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  · Manages project assignments with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

  · Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.

  · Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines.

  · Reviews project and budget status manages schedules and prepares reports.

  · Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.

  Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  · Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

  · U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  Preferred Qualifications:

  · Aerospace industry experience

  · Experience navigating competing priorities, delivering the highest level of engagement and delivering successful outcomes in critical situations

  · Experience leading projects and teams within a highly matrixed organization

  This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.   Employee Referral Eligible

  The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
