Description:
The Field service Inspector is responsible for traveling to client construction sites to inspect the building process at different phases. Sites will included fulfillment centers, Data centers, etc. for clients like Amazon and META. Field service inspector will inspect the buildings to validate regulation requirements like fire safety, and suppression, and OSHA. This person will confirm vendors are installing and commissioning mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment correctly and validate that all installations will not cause future safety issues or prevent maintenance process. Installations they will review include: - HVAC - Fire Safety - light Safety - Chillers - Roof conditions - Solar panels - and others Candidate will be working directly with existing IOQ team to ensure existing projects comply with current regulations, standards client standards and approved codes of practice. Key areas of responsibility include; • To ensure the company’s Health and Safety Policy and Procedures are implemented consistently across the business. • To attend sites to monitor, evaluate and review MEPH services, prepare reports make recommendations and manage the implementation and procedures as required. • Ensure the Region, our clients and designers ensure systems, plant and equipment can we safely maintain, replaced and serviced and supervise external providers to ensure required co-ordination. • To carry out audits to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of MEPH services and systems, identify and implement improvements. • Take action to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health and safety risks. • Monitor the services provided to external client’s systems, plant and equipment can we safely maintain, replaced and serviced. • To undertake and report on regular site inspections and support/ensure corrective actions. • Ensuring an understanding of project briefs • Design and specification of all Mechanical Building Services systems - heating, cooling, ventilation, controls, etc. • Carry out (& managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard digital tools inc. Excel, in-house developed tools, etc. • Preparing and reviewing technical specification • Site surveys, inspections and monitor site works. • Report & technical note writing • Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards • Adherence to all quality, environmental & governance processes • Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly & working to time allocations. • Managing elements of project delivery and an understanding of budget costings • Reviewing progress, inc. reporting any anomalies and changes of scope to the line manager • Help & assist with technical development of junior staff.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS • Preferably Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering or related subjects • Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools inc. AutoCAD, REVIT etc. • Experience working in a design consultancy and/or experience of working within a contractor design environment is essential. • Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards. • Able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative, and operate in a pro-active way. • Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with client is essential EXPERIENCE • Knowledge and SKILLS & ABILITY • Excellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively. • Effective team working and networking skills and the ability to work independently using own initiative. • A relevant professional qualification for your specific expertise. • The ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload. • Extensive knowledge of effective MEPH services system designs, equipment, regulations and best practice.
