Division info:The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.Summary of position:The primary responsibility of the Financial Analyst is accounting, budget planning and control management. The Assistant Controller works with the Controller in overseeing organizational accounting functions and all activities related to the budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for the Everett, WA facility (including expenses, capital outlays and revenue). In addition, the Assistant Controller will also oversee and manage all items related to internal controls and audits.Main responsibilities:- Assists the controller in directing an organization's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining an organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures.- Oversees the preparation and evaluation of budgets and other financial operating reports for Everett, WA.- Prepares the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.- Participates in the preparation of financial and managerial reports, including manufacturing costs variance analysis, margin forecasting, and productivity improvement goals.- Participates in the annual and quarterly financial planning/budgeting, and forecasting process to ensure timely monthly forecasting, and annual Operational Plan and budget.- Works with the Management team to ensure that the Site's financial objectives are met.- Identifies, quantifies, and presents solutions to upcoming problems that may have a material financial impact on the business and works through solutions in conjunction with the Controller.- Ensures that Internal Controls are in compliance with the corporation policies and procedures through planning, coordination, site reviews and testing while working with both the internal and external auditors for all 3 locations.- Ensure that the reporting, internal control environment and service level of the finance department is at a level commensurate with company standards.- Develops and manages a continuous student intern/Co op program.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required. CPA or CPA in progress a plus- 2-3 years of public or private accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus)- Accurate - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
