About Electrical Engineer IV - (E4)

  RF Engineer

  Our Team:

  Specified in power RF engineering and RF power delivery to plasma loads in semiconductor processes.

  The opportunity and what you’ll do:

  This job is to design and test RF related components for servicing installed customer bases as well as new development to meet customers’ process requirements, including 200mm and 300mm PVD, CVD and Etch tools. The new hire is expected to be self-motivated and interested in RF engineering and plasma related areas, and willing to take risk and explore new territories.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Work with development and customer support teams to design, qualify, and implement RF power components.

  Conduct measurements and characterizations of RF systems and components at bench and tool levels.

  Model and simulate RF components, e.g. power amplifier, impedance matching network, etc.

  Work with customer and support team to troubleshoot field issues in RF power and chamber plasma systems.

  New RF sensing technology and applications in semiconductor industry.

  Skills & Qualifications:

  Knowledge in RF engineering and plasma physics and applications in semiconductor processing.

  Solid engineering training and experience in high power RF delivery systems.

  Knowledgeable about, e.g. electric circuits, electronics devices, power amplifiers, EM theory, transmission line theory, impedance matching, RF sensors, etc.

  Well-organized and detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a safety lab testing environment.

  Good technical communication ability and teamwork skill

  Functional Knowledge:

  Concepts of RF measurement and know how to use instruments, e.g. oscilloscope, multimeters, network analyzer, vector impedance meter, RF power meter/sensor, spectrum analyzer, functional generator, etc.

  Efficient in test planning, fixture design, setup, data acquisition & analysis, and bookkeeping of test records.

  SW and simulation tools: MS Office, LabVIEW, C, Python, SPICE, etc

  Knowledge and experience in following areas is a plus: RF/EE sensing and data acquisition, data modeling and analysis.

  Required Education and/or Certifications:

  BS, MS or Ph.D in science and engineering areasYears of Experience:

  2 – 7 years of strong plasma experience within the Semiconductor industry and/or hands on experience with RF power supply or power amplifiers.

  Candidate could also be a Ph.D graduate with internship and/or lab background.

  U.S. Salary Range:

  $140,000.00 - $192,500.00

  The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

  For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
