The Effector Subsystems Products Team provides support to develop and produce e lectronics for products across the Raytheon portfolio. Our core electrical engineering technologies include RF/RADAR, Navigation/IMU/GPS, Digital, and Power . We partner with various departments to deliver our electrical products to our end customers.
The Electronics Team is searching for a candidate dedicated to working in a multi-disciplined production environment. The role will work within a cross-functional and cross-disciplined team of engineers through product development and production. The Electrical Production Responsible Engineering Authority (REA) provides both technical guidance and supervision in meeting project commitments . Responsibilities will include mentoring less experienced engineers, working with suppliers and supporting the team to give the program data-based evidence to make the proper decisions for the direction of the program.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Troubleshoot technical production hardware and test equipment
Review designs and system requirements as required to resolve production issues
Review and modify subsystem requirements and test plans
Act as a subject matter expert
Prepare presentations to peers, administration, and government customers
Investigate root-cause failures
Missile and Defense has a deep culture of mentoring; it is expected that employees will be both mentors and mentees
Assignments may require some travel, including foreign travel
Work within a multi-disciplined team including electronics hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, systems, test, supply chain, etc.
Collaborate with both functional and program higher-level administration
Collaborate with customer and suppliers.
This is an ONSITE role in Huntsville, Alabama
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or relevant, equivalent degree
Minimum of 2 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
Typically requires 2 years experience in analysis, test, measurement or integration of electrical products or systems
Typically requires 2 years experience in low level electronics troubleshooting
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required . U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Design and troubleshooting experience with one or more of the following components associated with missile guidance electronics subsystems:
Antennas
analog RF circuit cards
digital circuit cards
configurable logic
Project guidance , systems engineering and architecture experience with a desire to achieve a robust understanding at a higher level
Responsible Engineering Authority (REA), and/or Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) experience
Failure investigation, root cause identification, and corrective action implementation
Requirements verification test planning and implementation
Experience creating and presenting professional level design documentation to company stakeholders and program customers
Experience with workforce planning and staffing forecasts
Current or prior experience with Strategic Missile Defense or Naval Power systems development and/or production

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
