  In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA.   This position will be in Kansas City, MO

  Primary Responsibilities:

  An electrical engineer is sought to provide product engineering support to highly technical and advanced design and manufacturing processes typically requiring specialized qualifications, knowledge and/or skill.

  Assist with project management and perform design, development, evaluation, and quality control functions on highly complex engineering projects, regularly offering innovative solutions to significant technical problems.

  Apply mathematical, physical science, and advanced engineering technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives. Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments.

  Recognized knowledge within area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability.

  Mechanical Engineers with similar capabilities will be considered.

  You Must Have:

  Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining and maintaining a government security clearance.

  Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from a college or university with an ABET accredited engineering program. Will consider qualified Mechanical Engineer degreed candidates.

  Two or more years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities.

  We Value:

  Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  Six Sigma certification.

  Desire to be curious and problem solve.

  Experience working with complex electrical and/or mechanical devices.

  Prefer 1 or more years of experience with manufacturing and/or engineering processes.
