Description:
o Design electrical systems by developing and testing components.
o Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research and applying knowledge of electricity, mechanics, and materials.
o Confirm systems and components’ capabilities and compatibility by determining reproduceable testing methods.
o Develop electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
o Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components and by soliciting observations from operators.
o Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and system capabilities.
o Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
o Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
o Maintain product and company reputation by complying with CMMA guidelines, federal, and state regulations.
o Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures and requesting repair service.
o Maintain product database by query, merging, and entering data.
o Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
o Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
o Knowledgeable of CMAA standards and specifications
o Knowledgeable of Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc. PLCs

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
o Knowledgeable of designing for UL, NEC, CE, and NFPA compliance
o Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office products
o Proficient with ANSI Drafting Standards
o Proficient with Variable Frequency Drive systems
o Communicating with associates, suppliers, and customers
o Able to identify problems, root causes, and alternative solutions
o Self-motivated to pursue continuous improvement
