A Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Hillsboro, OR area. This position will lead diverse electrical engineering team in Hillsboro, Oregon, overseeing semiconductor and high-tech projects, requiring expertise in design, NFPA 70, IEEE standards, and strong leadership and communication skills.

responsibilities:
Focus on projects related to semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, and high-tech manufacturing
Accountability for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks
Provide engineering leadership to the electrical team
Assist clients during startup and coordinate work activities with other staff members and discipline lead
Part of a multi-discipline, highly collaborative team producing construction installation drawings
Project activities include schematics, plans, cable tray routing, cable and cable tray sizing, grounding, fault current review, and short circuit review.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
Professional Engineer license in the State of Oregon or ability to obtain
Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
Experience in Distribution and Branch panel breaker selection and settings
Experience in Transformer sizing/selection, including Secondary protection selection
Solid working knowledge of Electrical one-line modeling programs
Experience leading a diverse team of engineering associates
strong focus on quality procedures and adherence
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy Engineering
Experience in Semiconductor and/or Data Center/Mission Critical facilities electrical design
Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
strong communication skills, both verbal and written
strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Forward-thinking with a passion for learning and contributing innovative ideas
Quick learner with a drive to broaden knowledge base
Ability to collaborate effectively in various teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Passionate about buildings and construction
