About the Role:
The EHS, Sustainability and Facilities Specialist will serve these vital roles for our facilities in Bellevue, Washington. This individual will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, maintenance, monitoring and continuous improvement of our EHS and Sustainability programs. You will also ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local Regulatory Requirements as well as Veralto and Seabird requirements.
Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with Seabird/ Veralto policies and procedures, along with all state, federal and local governmental EHS regulations.
Directs, develops, and delivers environmental health and safety training programs to ensure employee’s knowledge, understanding and adherence to safety and environmental regulations pertaining to the operation of the facility.
Review proposed new chemicals, chemical processes, equipment, machinery, floor layout, etc. with the use of the Management of Change process.
Manages and Coordinates Worker’s Compensation and Return to Work Program with support from the site Human Resources department.
Develops and executes actions to reduce and sustain the Veralto EHS risk assessment score(s).
Manage hazardous waste management program: documents, inspections, handling, storage, and disposal.
Oversees emergency and response activities in the event of a serious emergency such as a fire, explosion, or chemical spill.
Lead sustainability initiatives by considering the long-term interests of our associates, customers, shareholders, business partners, communities, and planet in everything we do.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Sustainability, or other engineering or science focused field is required.
3+ years of management EHS experience in the US, preferably in a manufacturing facility.
Experience in managing/handling compliance issues, permitting, manufacturing operations, OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping.
Experience working in a LEAN or continual improvement environment and ability to apply continual improvement concepts to EHS excellence.
Experience leading Projects.
Experience with GENSUITE ™ and RCRA (Hazardous Waste Management Training) preferred.
The annual range for this role is $70,000.00- $90,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington.
T his range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
