SALARY: $100,000-$118,750

ROLE SUMMARY:
The EHS Manager - Environmental position is responsible for developing, planning, and coordinating all Environmental activities ensuring regulatory compliance and implementation of the EHS management system.
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
Knowledge & experience to provide effective training on all appropriate environmental related topics.
Development of EHS improvement initiatives and the daily management of on-going EHS operations, mainly Environmental focused.
Directs activities to conduct investigations, identify root cause and recommend corrective measures.
Represents the facility to external regulatory agencies and supports the negotiation of penalties.
Understanding of Title V permits, wastewater permits, hazardous waste, Process Safety Management, etc..
Directs activities to compile EHS information and other data as required by Zone, State and Federal agencies.
Identify environmental opportunities in the workplace using regulatory requirements & best safety practices.
Contributes to the overall needs and objectives of the ES department.
Team building – ability to involve employees and the leadership team in the process.
Subject Matter Expert of the Environment Pillar in the ABI Management System
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental or related field
5 years of environmental experience
Preferred experience within a manufacturing environment
Act with integrity in all EHS matters to maintain EHS compliance and excellence
Ability to collaboratively work with all levels of the organization
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong leadership skills, a comfort level with change, and the ability to lead change.
Working knowledge of government regulations (i.e. OSHA, EPA, etc.) and ability to interpret regulatory requirements (federal, state, and provincial) and apply them to the workplace
Excellent communication, investigative, analyzing, influencing and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced environment
