Reference #: 2021023Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business is searching for an Educational Technical Coordinator to join their team. You will contribute to the department by providing support by being the lead technician for all classroom, event, and technology enhance instructional spaces containing audio-visual systems in Tepper.
The Educational Technical Coordinator role provides audio visual technical support to all faculty, staff, and students within the Tepper School of Business. This position is responsible for all the educational technology needs and maintenance of related equipment in the Tepper School of Business including all classroom, event, and technology enhanced spaces. The incumbent will serve as the primary liaison for all end user educational technology needs and be the first point of contact for all contracted vendors. As an additional duty, the Educational Technical Coordinator will work closely with Tepper's Service Desk to keep technicians informed of service calls and maintenance related to these systems.Your core responsibilities will include:Supporting: AV systems setup / maintenance / troubleshooting, installations for those systems both hardware & software, security / firmware patches, PC operating system maintenance as necessary and/or required.Maintains classroom service requests as a first priority and within established response parameters.Monitors, administrates, and maintains Tepper's educational multimedia recording services, and student printers. Manages all videoconferencing technology infrastructure and requests.Oversees all connectivity needs and standards. Serves as the primary liaison with all contracted AV vendors.Trains and assists all identified end users with multi-media equipment functionality within all instructional spaces. Maintains in-depth working knowledge of Master's and Undergraduate curriculums and teaching needs to best identify approach to training needs.Serves as the primary on call contact for all evening distance learning sessions.Other duties as assigned
