Description: This work involves the maintenance and upkeep of educational materials used by school districts within the local Board of Cooperative Educational Services. An Educational Materials Aide does work as required.

Typical Work Activities:

Packs and unpacks educational materials for distribution to various schools;

Maintains sufficient quantities of supplies and materials needed for educational materials;

Keeps basic records of contents of educational materials;

Maintains stock room in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion;

May load and unload materials from/to delivery vehicles.

May utilize a BOCES vehicle to deliver educational materials.

Salary: Minimum starting salary $30,060

Job Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Valid Driver's License required.

Must possess physical condition sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT IN SCHOOL DISTRICTS/BOCES

Per regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required.
