This Chemical Technician position is part of the Chemical Processing Team located in Coralville, Iowa and will be on-site. The schedule for this role will be Friday- Sunday from 7am-8pm. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Routinely produce high quality, small scale chemical products that are used in DNA/RNA synthesis, including handling of regulated waste and actively participating in the Hazardous Spill Response Team

Utilize ERP system to create work orders, transfer material, and decrement material from inventory

Troubleshoot process issues with quality, delivery, or other identified KPIs

Work Schedule: In this role you will be required to work Friday- Sunday from 7am-8pm. This role may also be eligible for overtime. The work schedule may be subject to change based on business needs.

The essential requirements of the job include:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

At least 1 year of applicable experience

Ability to meet all required IDT certifications required for the role, such as HAZWOPER 24hr-Technician Certification (requiring Medically fit to participate in IDT’s Respirator Program), RCRA awareness certification

The ability to be medically clear and adhere to IDT’s Respiratory Program is a condition of employment and continued employment. Individuals in these functions will need to be tested, pass, and be fitted for respirator use as part of standard personal-protective equipment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Associate’s degree

Experience safely working with hazardous chemicals

Experience working with basic chemistry and mathematics, including unit conversations necessary to perform in-process adjustments

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
