Lead the editing, fact checking, and proofreading of scientific information conveyed in pharmaceutical, therapeutic and medical advertising campaigns developed for pharmaceutical and high sciences clients. Manage multiple projects, monitor work stream, delegate assignments to more junior editors, and liaise with other Editorial Managers to coordinate coverage across the department. Ensure compliance with the Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) and other regulatory guidelines. Attend status/startup meetings with brand editors to help evaluate workload and negotiate timelines. Help editors develop and maintain style guides for assigned accounts. Mentor, train, guide, and review the work of junior staff to ensure consistency of scientific information across marketing and advertising projects. Serve as process/information resource for new business initiatives such as presentation decks, concepts, and branding materials.Requirements:Master’s degree in Biology, Molecular Pharmacology, or closely related life science field, plus 3 years of experience in the position offered or as an Editor for a healthcare advertising agency.*All required experience must have included conducting scientific quality control and editorial functions for advertising campaigns developed for pharmaceutical and high sciences clients; editing, fact checking, and proofreading scientific information conveyed in pharmaceutical, therapeutic and medical advertising campaigns; ensuring compliance with OPDP and other regulatory guidelines; maintaining version control to ensure scientific integrity of projects; ensuring adherence to AMA guidelines and the brand’s style; keeping scientific information consistent across marketing and advertising projects; and generating and updating style guides for assigned accounts from an editorial point of view.This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York City office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.
