Description
We are currently seeking a qualified DEVSECOPS Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role is integral to supporting the operations of the Cloud Management Office (CMO) and driving the adoption of cloud-native best practices, observability, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The successful candidate will play a key role in the modernization of our DevOps enterprise framework from on-premises to the cloud.
Responsibilities:
Set up and manage the development environment, configure tools, and maintain cloud services.
Manage CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baselines, enabling application development within the command.
Collaborate with software development teams, ensuring compliance and security controls are maintained.
Monitor operations and enhance development processes as needed.
Immerse in the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree & 9+ years of experience, OR Masters degree & 7+ years of experience. Years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
Must be located in the Tampa Bay area and be willing to work on-site and hybrid schedules.
Possess an Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS clearance.
Meet DOD 8570 IAT Lvl I requirements (minimum SEC+).
At least one Azure certification is desired.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools like Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
Proficient in managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and integrating automated security testing and deployment strategies.
Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub, GitLab).
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
Knowledge of cloud security best practices, identity and access management (IAM) in Azure, and compliance frameworks.
Data modeling and data science experience is a plus.
Desired Skills:
Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration testing in an Azure cloud environment.
Facilitate the adoption of DevSecOps principles in data engineering processes.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions in Azure.
Detail-oriented, responsible team player with the ability to handle multiple technical assignments concurrently
