Responsibilities

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) primarily assesses, triages, and stabilizes incoming patients by quickly determining the urgency of their condition, performing initial treatments like wound care or IV insertion, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with the medical team to provide necessary care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Current California RN license

One (1) year of experience as an Emergency Department RN within the last five (5) years. (exception - when staffing is able to accommodate training management will consider RNs with less experience).

BLS certification

ACLS certification (or within 3 months of hire)

PALS certification (or within 3 months of hire)

Must obtain NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire

Preferred requirements:

Bachelors of Science in Nursing

Pay Range

$67.57 - $82.06 /hour
