JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position description The truck driver picks up and/ ordelivers parts and materials to customers and inter-plant locations.They are required to travel short and long distances and are required towork flexible hours which include some evenings, The work is physical innature and requires lifting over fifty (50) pounds occasionally andclimbing in and out of the truck frequently. The physical requirementsfor truck driving are approximately 30% standing and 70% sitting. Theyare also responsible for the proper care, use, and maintenance ofcompany owned and rented semi-trucks. When truck driving is notavailable, they perform shipping and receiving duties under thedirection and supervision and direction of the department supervisor.Physical requirements while working in the shop include approximately50% standing and 50% sitting. Experience/ Skills Three (3) months to one(1) year of training or driving experience. Ability to complete and fillout legible trip logs per Department of Transportation (DOT) and companyrequirements. Ability to follow oral and written instructions to pick upand deliver materials to designated points. Ability to operate aforklift to load and unload materials and supplies. Ability to operate acellular phone. Ability to communicate with customers. Knowledge ofgeneral shop rules, practices, and safety precautions. Ability andwillingness to cooperate with co-workers and work as part of aproduction team. Safe driving record. Education High School diploma.Physical/ Safety Requirements Delivers parts and materials to customersin WI, MN, IA, IL Assists with loading and unloading at inter-plantlocations. Performs shipping and receiving duties when truck driving isnot available. Wears approved personal protective equipment whileworking in production areas. This may include safety shoes, safetyglasses with side shields, gloves hearing protection, etc. Completesassigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. Thisincludes regard to individual safety, the safety of other team members,and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.
