What You Can Expect
The Senior Biostatistician is responsible for:
Provide advanced statistical analyses to Clinical Affairs and other Business Units.
Perform appropriate data analyses and interpretation for clinical trials.
Efficiently write and edit SAS code for the purpose of analyzing data from ongoing and new studies.
In collaboration with other staff, design statistical sections of research protocols, power and sample calculations, and makes suggestions for appropriate study design and analysis;
Instruct others in statistical methods and data management techniques, including mapping, merging and updating existing databases.
Assist in collecting, summarizing, writing and editing results of research projects for publication in peer reviewed scientific journals;
Participate in preparing and writing IDE, 501k and other FDA required reports.
Provide tabular and written analyses in a form suitable for manuscript inclusion or scientific presentation; assist with CRF design and other data collection instruments for departmental clinical research studies.
Your Background
Requires a Master’s degree in Biostatistics, mathematical statistics, or related field and 5 years of experience in a role related to clinical/epidemiological research, biostatistics, or applied statistics.
Requires experience with:
Utilizing statistical software packages;
Statistical tests in comparing the performance of one group to another group, such as T-tests, non-parametric and chisquare tests;
Applying linear or logistic regression to determine which factors are influential in determining clinical outcome of patients;
Experience using survivorship techniques including Kaplan Meier, hazard ratios, and Cox regression to predict survivorship of the patient implants.
Travel Expectations
Role permits remote work throughout the U.S.
Role requires 5% domestic and international travel.
