Description:

　　You will assist the Lead Driller with subsurface exploration duties which may include auger drilling, mud rotary drilling and diamond bit coring techniques. Work as part of a multiple person team on projects. Assist driller in maintenance of the drill rig, trailer and the pull truck. You’ll learn how to field locate required exploration points and determine the surface elevations of those points. You’ll be trained to prepare boring logs using Unified Soil Classification System (USCS). Duties will include loading and unloading of soil samples, exploration tools and instrumentation/well installation tools and supplies onto trucks or drill rigs. Company vehicle and equipment provided to perform daily tasks. $150/day per diem to cover lodging and food, except return trip to office $50 if return equipment after 6pm, or $40 before 6pm. Can expect to be on the road Monday mornings and returning Friday night. Can expect to work anywhere between 50-70 hrs a week. Paid time and a half all hours over 40. First three to four months will be working locally around Kansas City, then will eventually be expected to travel to Western Kansas.

　　Must Haves: - 1 + years of working with construction equipment - heavy equipment (augers, machinery, skid loader, etc.) - Able to lift 75 pounds -The work is all commercial/heavy industrial jobs, as well as ODOT roadway jobs. - MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT. Could be 30% travel. Must be able to get their hands dirty. - Worst case scenario for traveling - has had workers travel for 3 weeks ( Be sure to make candidates aware of this)
