DescriptionPosition Summary
This position will be a member of the Corporate Finance and Accounting team at SGS&CO's corporate headquarters in Louisville, KY, to the Assistant Accounting Manager. This position is looking for a detail-oriented individual who will take full ownership of their job responsibilities. The position requires knowledge of both Finance and Accounting principles, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and ability to understand and utilize a financial system.
Currently this position is 100% remote with in-office meetings as required by management.
Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Perform monthly closing procedures, including journal entries, analyzing, and reconciling accounts to ensure complete and accurate account balance.Work with exchange rates and intercompany accounting/reconciliationsSupport team by being back-up for month-end duties assigned to other Senior Accountants.Ability to be flexible and meet strict deadlinesLiaises with the audit team to provide all necessary financial statement support.Assist with variance analyses - both budget to actual and year over year analyses.

Educational & Experience Minimum Requirements
Strong accounting foundation and solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.Minimum of 3 + years of corporate finance and/or public accounting.Bachelor's degree required, major in accounting preferred.Experience in a multi-currency and multi-company global environment preferred.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelors of Accounting (required)
Experience
Strong accounting foundation and solid knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures. (required)
3 years: Minimum years of corporate finance and/or public accounting (required)
Experience in a multi-currency and multi-company global environment preferred. (preferred)
