The Project Design Drafter will create and modify || engineering drawings utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. || The drawings are used by engineering, production, and manufacturing || to support the procurement, machining, assembly, and testing of all || products. All drawings show technical details, specifications, || materials, and the pertinent date to ensure the designed components || are in line with project specifications. The Project Design Drafter || reports directly to and is fully accountable to the Project || Engineering Manager. However, direction may be provided by the Vice || President of Engineering, General Manager or Engineering, and/or || Project Engineers. || ||   || || QUALIFICATIONS: || || - Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in || CAD drafting or equivalent combination of education and || experience is required. A degree in Engineering Technology is || preferred || - Requires a minimum of three years of design drafting experience || in an engineering or manufacturing organization, preferably in || the compressor or heavy machinery industry || - Requires experience with current 2-D and solid modeling CAD || software. Preferable experience utilizing Solid Edger || - Working understanding of ANSI/ASME Y14 standards (e.g. Y14.100, || Y14.5) || - Knowledge and ability to operate a computer and enter, format, || and present data using software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, || Access, and customized in-house software || - Strong mathematical ability in calculations with formulas and || geometry (e.g. areas and volumes) || - Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers || - Excellent time and priority management abilities required || - Must possess the senses of sight and have excellent oral and || written communication skills in English || - Must possess the ability to coordinate a variety of routine || projects and activities simultaneously without losing control, || poise, or professionalism || - Ability to complete engineering projects in a timely manner || - Attention to detail is critical. Reciprocating compressors have || the potential for causing serious injury or death.
