This position has aheightened food safety and food quality responsibilities Manage, mentorand support production operations and employees. Work jointly withmaintenance to identify equipment issues, establish day to dayoperational priorities, improve machine efficiency, managing thepriority and completion of work on shift. Facilitate productionexpectations with plant personnel; ensuring that goals are met on a dayto day, month to month basis. Ensure that processing equipment setupsare completed in the timeframe required to meet department expectationsand productivity. Establish training procedures and processes thatimprove job knowledge, including cross training. Provide daily updatesto department managers. Build a strong working relationship with plantpersonnel, providing leadership, teaching, and effective communicationmethods, that ensure enforcement of company policies and procedures.Understand software controls which will include addressing systemperformance issues and training. Establish a \"zero injury\" safetyculture and motivate employees to follow safety policies and procedures.Participate in the annual management review of the Food Safety andQuality system.
