Job DescriptionKearney & Company is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Cleveland, Ohio team supporting one of the Federal government's largest agencies! Duties include but are not limited to:Supporting the Department of the Navy (DON) General Fund and Working Capital Fund audit response, audit remediation, internal controls, financial processes, and/or accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS), and/or relevant Department of the Treasury and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) policiesExecuting the day-to-day research, analysis, and communication at the direction of the Kearney & Company Team LeadUtilizing data analysis technology to analyze informationDemonstrating excellent writing and communication skills as significant time is spent drafting/updating communication artifacts (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, whitepapers)Demonstrating strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlinesDirecting and reviewing the work of AnalystsCommunicating status of project-related tasks to Team LeadQualificationsBA/BS/BBA degree in Accounting or Business Management related fieldMinimum of 3 years of progressive, relevant experience in federal/DoD financial statement auditing, audit remediation, or audit readinessAbility to travel up to 25%Ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)Preferred:Experience with Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) reconciliations and Financial ReportingExperience working with DFAS reporting policy and proceduresExperience working with DoD's Advanced Analytics (Advana) platformExperience working with DoD disbursing operationsAbility to independently research data reconciling variancesExperience researching and applying FASAB, OMB, and Treasury requirements including OMB Circular A-136, and/or the Treasury Financial ManualProficient skills in MS ExcelExperience with SharePoint, SQL, ACL Analytics, Python and/or Access databasesCPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certificationCertified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certificationKCO1701#LI-MA1OverviewExclusively focused on the Government, Kearney & Company provides financial services, including auditing, consulting, and technology services.
