Summary:
The Document Control Specialist – Engineering Delivery coordinates engineering administrative support efforts with the RES engineering team and/or third-party engineering firms. Tasks include receiving, reviewing, categorizing, scanning, filing, and tracking documents using our company’s classification and organization systems.
Requirements:
Provides services for engineering document requests, including receiving, reviewing, categorizing, scanning, filing and tracking documents according to RES Document Control procedures.
Works with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to issue and transmit requested documents.
Responds to requests for documents and distributes them as needed.
Maintains, organizes, and updates documents in electronic drawing management systems.
Proactively communicates with client Document Control Specialists and internal teams to manage workload and project requests.
Proofreads and checks documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Company standards.
Demonstrates adherence to client-driven engineering document services policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
Communicates document requirements and client standards to the engineering team.
Develops procedures for transferring digital files to the applicable project document repository.
Contributes to the development of department policies including documentation, storage, and organization policies.
Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

Strong communication and organization skills both verbal and written.
Utilizes interpersonal skills in maintaining balance with all party’s requirements and priorities.

Reading, analyzing and interpreting general business information
Writing reports and business correspondence

Organization
Ability to solve practical problems independently and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Capacity to handle tight deadlines and last-minute changes, adapt quickly and anticipate needs.
Knowledge of records management procedures and standards.
Ability to understand general engineering documents is a plus.
Intermediate/Advanced MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Familiarity with Procore and SharePoint preferred.
Functional competencies include communication, collaboration, attention to detail, learning on the fly and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Highschool diploma/GED, required
Associate’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or other related area of study, preferred
2 or more years of experience as a document control specialist, required
Anticipated base salary range: $20.67 - $24.52 per hour
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
