Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons (VP&S) is searching for a renowned physician-scientist to assume the role of Chief of the Hope & Heroes Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant (Division). This is a remarkable opportunity for a nationally distinguished leader with a strong track record of scientific accomplishment and leadership. The Chief will hold an endowed professorship and serve in a leadership capacity in Columbia's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center.

　　VP&S, Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) and New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital (MSCH) work in tandem to provide world-class pediatric care and propel scientific discovery and education. VP&S boasts a faculty of over 2,100 individuals, strong educational programs and a research mission that is accompanied by a track-record of success, with over $530 million in NIH funding in FY2022. CUIMC combines the resources of a leading research institution with the compassionate care of a U.S News & World Report Honor Roll hospital. Pediatric care is supported by MSCH, a 269-bed Level 1 trauma center that provides care to an incredibly diverse patient population. MSCH is the top-ranked Children's Hospital in New York and is ranked in all ten pediatric specialties by U.S News & World Report.

　　The Hope & Heroes Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplant, located within the Department of Pediatrics at VP&S, the top ranked medical school pediatric program in the tristate region and one of the top in the US, has been recognized as one of the leading Pediatric Cancer Programs in the United States. This outstanding reputation is in part due to the generous philanthropic support received from the Hope & Heroes foundation and the broader New York community. The Division is staffed by 22 distinguished faculty members who offer exceptional clinical care, innovative scientific research and comprehensive educational programs for students and trainees.

　　The Chief will drive research, clinical programs and education to new heights and sustain growth by leveraging a robust infrastructure and supportive world-class cancer center. The ideal candidate will be a leader with a strong commitment to enhancing patient and family centered care and outcomes while having a distinguished record of advancing scientific programs and securing extramural funding in pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplant. Additionally, the Chief will further emphasize the Division's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

　　A medical degree (MD) or MD/PhD, board certification in pediatric hematology, oncology and stem cell transplant.

　　Must have or be eligible for a NYS Medical License.
