The Distribution Strategy Manager designs, executes and continuously enhances standard lines (Personal Lines, Small Business, Middle Market, Agribusiness and Surety) agency/distribution compensation plans, segmentation strategies, agency business planning, and related programs in alignment with standard lines competitive business strategies. The role identifies channel wide opportunities for maximizing profitable growth, managing compensation expense, and increased capabilities. The role is accountable for a high degree of collaboration across the Distribution Relationship Management (DRM) team and business leadership driven by a comprehensive approach to distribution communication across all agency-facing teams and with agency partners. The role will partner specific to industry related support with key external partners and influence distribution technology as it relates to compensation, segmentation, and analytics.Develops and implements overall compensation strategy by leveraging data, analytics, and market intelligence to evaluate agency performance and determine strategies to improve results in alignment with segment competitive business strategies. Responsible for agency compensation (commissions, contingency, incentives, custom compensation, budgeting, and accrual models) execution: contract language, system programming, internal and external communications, internal acumen building, and overall coordination.Develops and implements the overall segmentation strategy by leveraging data, analytics, and market intelligence in alignment with segment competitive business strategies. Responsible for agency segmentation inclusive of modeling, compensation design, contract language, benefits package, and Agency Coordinator (AC) model design.Develops and implements agency programs for high performing agency tier for each business segment . Program management includes AC support, training, and acumen building, benefits management, and results management. Role is responsible for agency communication strategy and execution across programs.Develops and evolves agency business planning in alignment with the competitive business strategies. Role leads direction, tool creation, acumen building and orchestration across standard lines.Evolves distribution analytics powered by market intelligence to inform health of the channel, risk mitigation, and strategy creation in collaboration with the various business segments. Includes building access to internal and external data and analytics to inform distribution strategy and decision making in partnership with Distribution leadership. Creates a continuous feedback loop with both internal and external partners; operates with a high degree of collaboration while also influencing to drive accountability with business leaders.Supports ability to provide leading distribution technology capabilities for agents and multi-channel capabilities aligned with the segment growth strategies specific to agency compensation and segmentation.Owns accountability for talent management and navigation of employee related issues that impact morale and work environment to ensure a high performing team including hiring and selection, succession planning, performance and compensation management, and employee development and career coaching as required. Manages priorities and workload distribution and removes barriers that impede progress.7+ years of experience in P&C Sales, Distribution Management, or a related field.Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or a related field and/or commensurate work experience.For field roles only: Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.
