The Distribution Supervisor is a salaried leadership position responsible for the, accurate and efficient processing of workflow through an assigned area. You will be largely focused on receiving, picking, packing, and shipping warehousing functions within distribution environment. You will need to have a working knowledge of warehouse automation solutions, achieve main process and operational cost improvements following established company procedures and foster a safe team environment.
You Will:
Achieves process improvement. Focus on accuracy, customer value proposition, order flow/processing schedules, inventory, and expense management.
Spend majority of workday on the floor coaching diverse teams by providing feedback on performance, which is, specific, and accurate, focusing on strengths and development opportunities.
Motivate, recognize and rewards personal and team accomplishments.
Clarify roles and responsibilities for each team member ensuring understanding and commitment to specific goals and a collaborative work approach.
Write and administer annual Associate performance evaluations and conduct regular career development and performance conversations.
Track labor productivity and measurements and improve performance verses prior year and plan goals.
Use understanding of the larger supply chain network to lead and lead departmental goals.
Implement appropriate plans to achieve promptly.
Analyze data to identify new opportunities for cost reduction and new ideas; provide thoughtful recommendation and standard process solutions.
Maintain collaborative relationships with the brand, partners, and important team members across the logistics network.
Eliminate non-value-added activities and inefficiencies. Remain competent in decision-making, risk management, and cost analysis.
Demonstrate skills. (i.e., scheduling, expediting, planning, and coaching).
Promote safety leadership by protecting the health of our team members.
Directly oversee 15+ hourly employees.
You Have:
Associates or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar or· 3-5 years of supervisory experience in distribution operations
Promote teamwork and work within diversified teams· Proficiency with warehouse and distribution management software is required.· Experience with process improvement and driving change· Forecasting and make well-supported recommendations· Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access· Works at a fast pace in a rapidly changing business environment· Experience in communicating and addressing issues to senior management
Leadership experience & experience with success around developing talent in a high volume, customer-focused environment.· Proven interpersonal, organizational, and thinking skills.· Able to multi-task & handle conflicting priorities.· Work with and influence associates of responsibility and functional expertise.· Computer skills within Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to effectively learn new systems.· Conflict resolution / solution-focused mindset.
